| Financial results for the quarter and year ended 31 March 2004.

A meeting of the Board of Directors of SRF Limited is scheduled to be held on
Friday, 21 May 2004 at New Delhi for, inter alia, considering and approving
audited financial results for the quarter- and year-ended 31 March 2004, and
recommendation of dividend on equity shares.
In line with relevant SEBI regulations and guidelines, the window for trading
in the shares of the Company by Directors/Employees of the Company will be
closed from 13 May 2004 through 24 May 2004, both days inclusive.

SRF granted patent by US Patent & Trademark Office.
|
SRF Limited has been granted a patent by the United States Patent &
Trademark Office for "a process for the production of
Difluoromethane". Difluoromethane is an ozone-friendly refrigerant gas.
In line with relevant SEBI regulations and guidelines, the window for trading
in the shares of the Company by Directors/Employees of the Company will be
closed from 13 May 2004 through 24 May 2004, both days inclusive.

Infotel Division sale approved by members.
|
The members through postal ballot approved the sale of Infotel Division
of the company on 22nd April 2004. The sale has since been completed and the
company has received the full consideration thereof.

Board Approves Acquisition of SRF Polymer's Polyester Film Operations.
|
The Board has given an in-principle approval to make an offer to acquire the Polyester Film
operation of SRF Polymers Limited in its Board meeting on 21 May 2004, in line with its stated intent
of establishing a strong operating presence in this business.
The transaction is subject to requisite corporate, statutory and regulatory approvals.
